my experience with shrooms vs acid.
acid is more powerful, longer lasting, and more of an "experience"
shrroms, are more muted and feel like a "background enhancement" ; and the effect is in and out very quickly compared to acid.
what i mean by background; is i've always been able to control shrooms, where acid is more of a journey with no destination and no goals... you just go where it takes you and have fun along the way.

For me it wasn't a point of not being able to feel good without it. It was a point of feeling different than normal. I generally feel good and happy without any chemical stimulation. Not everyone uses drugs to 'escape' or to try to solve problems. Mine was completely recreational. I did them, had my fun, and quit. I was also an avid pot smoker for over 10 years. Nothing personal, it just irks me when people assume that it's always because you need to escape problems or can't feel normal without them.

i'm 18 :icon26:, and i'm mooching off my parents because i have about $6.75 in my bank account and my parents are good with giving me space. It's probably a cultural thing, but I don't really have a desire to move out of home until I can really afford it (so not until next year, at least) and it's acceptable like that.

I'm planning on staying mostly in the house, but we have a bunch of parks nearby we might walk over to, it looks like i'll need a place for the last 8 or 9 hours of it, so i'll just chill with the person i'm doing it with for a while. (suburbs eh)

just make sure you can avoid contact with anyone that matters(parents, anyone who may rat on you).

because if you really get off on the acid, you will not, I REPEAT YOU WILL NOT BE able to control yourself laughter wise.

If you think acid "makes you feel better" then I have a hard time believing you ever did it.

my acid days were more like 94-99
must be something different with what we were buying... or some kind of brain chemical thing.

did you ever do a good amount? say 2,3 or 4 hits at once or were you always conservative?

maybe the hits were dropped with smaller amounts.

IIRC, the most I ever did was four hits. That period of my life is a bit fuzzy, so it may have been less. I do remember distinctly that the most intense trip I ever had was off of two hits. God, that was an amazing night.

i walked out of the theatre my first trip, it was dusk, clear night with a warm stiff breeze. i remember that feeling, i was in awe at the world. then i laughed. hehe.

Excellent point, excellent point. I agree with your enlightened opinion that drugs copped off a street vendor, because they are cheaper, are a better solution than fda-approved medications prescribed by a professional.

it's more to do with the nature of the drug, rather than the purity.

Many doctor prescribed mind-altering substances do just what was said - wrap a scarf around your brain and make you feel happy.

Pot, acid, shrooms, in some ways do the opposite - they expand your mind.
