Fucking lol @ the people that expected a Kevin Smith movie to be some deep treatise on the hypocrisy and stupidity of religion.

best thing kevin smith did was that lecture at boston :icon14:
anyways, last night i watched Saw.
8/10. great movie, some teethgriding moments in there. near the end i got a bit frustrated because as always it all boils down to the mastermind killer not being able to tie some hostage down properly. thank GOD for the twist ending.
i also liked how the credits rolled in during the last shot :icon14: made your eally feel like it wasnt over :icon14:

The constant gardenener - 6.5/10
The missus dragged me along to this one, mostly because she thought it was a romantic comedy. It turned out to be a pretty predictable and avarage thriller set in Africa, about evil corporations testing drugs on poor Kenian aids victims. It had some beautiful scenery shots, but it was nothing special.

Oh, yes, i had a hangover this weekend and cured it by spending my sunday watching the entire V series on DVD like some sort of huge nerd. Not officially a movie, but still highly excellent stuff (except the last episode which was slightly dissapointing).
I give it a 8/10, because i'm a fan.

I have all of V. It's excellent. Apart from the TV series they made, that really was quite rubbish, but the mini series? That's excellent indeed.

Howl's Moving Castle - if you've enjoyed Miyazaki's previous films then you'll definitely want to see this one too.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. 6/10
Depp was good IMO, but it just lacked the charm of the old one. Don't even get me started on the Oompa Loompas.

I just picked up the V: The Final Battle, after some weeks of searching Toronto for it, on Thursday....no time to watch it yet

I think this movie is a must see, if for no other reason than Depp's superb acting it will still be worth it. IMHO
