It looks like "hagelslag", which is chocolate sprinkels. Very popular in the Netherlands, especially with children. For some reason no other country in the world puts it on bread, only on cake and pie. Funny thing is also that you can get half a kilo of the stuff here for the same amount that you pay for a little tube of cake decoration elsewhere.

damn, i miss that stuff. the equivalent over here isn't even chocolate - it's some filthy low-grade plastic made from cow bones.

that and 'muisjes' or whatever they were called, little pink and white aniseed things - and what my uncle called 'powdered mice' which was the same thing but all mashed up.

dutch breakfasts are the best. loads of sugary stuff on little round bits of toast, slices of chicken, beer and then a stroll out into the garden for a bifta.

I agree with everything except the beer :) And yeah, they are called muisjes (mice). I think you mean "beschuit" with round bits of toast? (see pic)

I was going to comment on eating something that is essentially sugar and flavoring being a horrible idea, but if you exported it to the US you could make trillions getting them all even fatter.

It's not something you should eat every day, I agree, but then again, a bit of sugar never hurt anyone. You just have to know when to call it quits.

I just made a great egg and cheese sandwich. I'd say it was pretty successful for a first attempt.

Been doing that for quite some time. If I do eat any more than that I feel like crap. I've tried the three meals a day thing and I just can't do it.

Oh I see. I'm with you on that, I feel very ill nowadays if I try to eat cereal and milk in the morning, and I feel grotty for the rest of the day.

However, tried eating a couple of peaches, pears, bananas or apples in the morning? Bought five peaches this morning walking to the bus stop, and ate them all before lunch.

Damn cheap and real good AM food.

Yeah, tried that too. I'ts pretty much anything I eat. Just feel overfull and not hungry for dinner when it's time for that. I do eat fruit as a snack later on after dinner sometimes.

you can do without dinner, really.

Hell, if I did that then I wouldn't get any food at all. :p

i mean, i'd rather eat breakfast and lunch and skip dinner rather than doing what you do. but i know why you have your routine - because your old lady has dinner ready when you get home and you're probably on your own for breakfast and lunch.

Nah. I was in that routine long before I got with her. Started when I was in my early twenties.

har har

No problems here. I feel fine. In fact, most of the time I'm pretty energetic.

Apparently I'm the only one on the forum who sees chewing tobacco as a breakfast item. Shocker.

Well, if you were to ask a lot of my neighbors, you would probably find more of your kind.

I've notice Iceman321 that you're quite bitter lately. Has beating off daily, wishing a real woman would look twice at you made you hate life so much?

There's always hookers.
