julios(foreskin matter)
I don't have much to say in terms of the science and medicine behind it that hasn't already been addressed, but I would like to add condradictory anecdotal evidence about foreskin being a turn-off. Every girl with whom I've discussed the subject (and who have had the opportunity to test it firsthand) say they prefer an intact penis. This proves nothing, and it's not like the topic has come up hundreds of times in conversation, but whatever...
I'm sorry to tell you, there has been no suffering that I was circumsized.. you claim that people are ignorant if they don't agree with you then you make ignorant remarks like that.. the child has no recollection of the circumcisition..This causes suffering, and the mind goes to great lengths to avoid suffering.

You misunderstood my comment on suffering. It causes suffering to a father if he is to accept the fact that circumcision is harmful. He realizes that his penis is missing some important parts, and this causes suffering. I'm not talking about suffering the memory of being cut - i'm talking about psychological suffering.Dek wrote:I'm sorry to tell you, there has been no suffering that I was circumsized.. you claim that people are ignorant if they don't agree with you then you make ignorant remarks like that.. the child has no recollection of the circumcisition..This causes suffering, and the mind goes to great lengths to avoid suffering.
I never claimed people are ignorant if they don't agree with me.
Finally, a couple remarks on memory and pain:
*would you say that it's ok to inflict severe pain on a creature for no good reason just because it will not have a recollection? What about the suffering it endures then and there?
*trauma due to pain goes beyond episodic recall of a painful episode. It has resonant effects upon the mind and behaviour of the subject in question. As I have pointed out, there are uncontroversial studies that show that circumcision without anaesthesia has significant changes upon the infants behaviour and pain responses even months after the experience. You can review the literature yourself if you wish:

you can access the actual primary research literature from this site (full text)
Agree to disagree, I don't feel I'm missing some parts..
Personally, I'm glad I don't orgasm by stretching my skin..
I'm a quick shooter as it is..
I think this situation is like birth control, either you believe in it or not, I don't think anyone will actually change their mind by discussing it here, those decisions have already been ingrained.
There's also documentation showing the positive effects of circumcisition as well..
again personally i don't miss my schmuck.

I presume the cornea would progressively degrade over time. Scarring would occur, causing severe visual artifacts. Your eye would probably also get infected.
As for drying out, one of the eyelids's functions is to distribute the tears over the corneas. Tears would still be produced (you'd probably have tear gland issues due to tear overproduction), but they wouldn't be applied to the surface of the cornea very effectively.

It should if it's healthy. If it doesn't then there is probably something wrong.Chupacabra wrote:no, not alwaysGeebs wrote:If it's hard, it looks exactly the same. That's because you have no idea of what you're missing. Just because you don't want to accept that you're missing erogenous tissue doesn't mean you aren't.Dek wrote:Agree to disagree, I don't feel I'm missing some parts..
Nature intended for the stretching of the ridged band to elicit sexual pleasure. It is also of a different type of pleasure than that evoked by rubbing other parts. It enriches the sensation rather than merely accelerating it.Personally, I'm glad I don't orgasm by stretching my skin..I'm a quick shooter as it is..
This is why combatting female circumcision is so difficult. People hold beliefs in it. Their ideas are firmly ingrained.I think this situation is like birth control, either you believe in it or not, I don't think anyone will actually change their mind by discussing it here, those decisions have already been ingrained.
Doesn't mean they're not perpetuating harm.
There are positive effects of female circumcision also, with respect to hygeine. Does this mean it's acceptable? There's also documentation showing the positive effects of circumcisition as well..
Would you circumcise your baby child after knowing what you do now?again personally i don't miss my schmuck.

It sometimes takes years of development until the foreskin retracts naturally. Unfortunately, some parents/physicians don't realize this, and try to prematurely retract the foreskin, either damaging it, or concluding that a circumcision is needed.werldhed wrote:It should if it's healthy. If the foreskin doesn't retract fully over the glans by the time the male is an adult, then there are measures that can be taken to fix this.
In the most severe cases, circumcision may be necessary (but not sure about this.) Stretching the foreskin over time is an effective remedy. I think steroidal creams work also. A dorsal slit is drastic but nowhere near as invasive as a full circumcision.
Some men don't mind their foreskins not being able to retract fully (though it retracts when flaccid).
