1. You haven't "found" anything.
2. I've never felt the need to mention it, I've only ever replied to an idiot asking about it because he felt like he could use that to laugh at my expense. (kindof a dick thing to do btw)

If so yeah I can and the only way you'll ever prove your point is if you can find a quote of me bragging that I own a GTI that isn't a direct reply to someone asking me about it. I always thought a GTI was a car model variant? So it's not a Golf, Rabbit, Polo or GTI, but it's either a Golf, Rabbit, Polo, with or without fuel injection.

Yeah I don't get that either. I think it's just a VW thing. They like to make their cars all look the same but give them different names. Engines and a few trimmings are about the only differences between a GTI/Golf/Rabbit

A GTI is just a special Golf variant with different/modified engine, chassis, equipment. So: not just "GTI" but "Golf GTI". Like a Golf GT/TDI/TSI/whatever.
Btw. does anyone here have a Golf VII (latest model)? I designed the overhead console for it. ^^

I guess but there's no Golf badge on my car, it just states GTI and the bill of sales also states just GTI.... Not saying you aren't righ though cause side by side it looks just like a golf/rabbit.

Have a few, and my brother works in the paint finishing shop. I bike with the guy that runs interior QA, got a few friends there.

I was doing interior design in the engineering department for the upcoming SUV. But most of the work my company is doing for Bentley is done over here in Wolfsburg but there are always some colleagues of me on the spot in Crewe. Maybe I'll be working there again, too. Poss. next year, depending on my projects for VW over here.

by all accounts it's a great place to work. one lads always getting 'product' to have over the weekend.

As for the GTI bit, that's just a specific version of a Golf.

Kracus knows, he owned a Rabbit until Shaft said they don't make them anymore, then had to back pedal when he realised he can claim to own a pre-2010 model after already feigning ignorance about the Golf/Rabbit/GTI because of Shafts owning.
