because by the time it actually comes to that, they're all old, and accustomed to a life of luxurious ease. incarceration isn't something their frail constitutions can handle at that point

Mubarak gets sentenced but the people who were actually responsible for the killings of protesters and the crackdown are mostly still in power and are unindicted
