thats true. i played it on a 1.2ghz with 768 sdram (not ddr :A ) and a geforce3ti2, and got more than steady fps
not all of us need 2048x2048 textures and 18 shadows per model :)

i played the demo a few weeks back when i got my new powerhouse and while it looked a lot better. it still sucked

My mom's pc is a P3 800 with 256 SDRAM and a shitty GeForce 2 GTS 32 Mb...the game runs fine.

lol..nice ai...i actually did the same thing shooting those combines as they walked to the window...the ai killed the game for me...along with the stuttering problem and horrible load times...some fixed now but now its too late...

i actually got bored with D3's repetitive gameplay in like 20 minutes....
walk into dark room, kill monsters, get items, expect atleast one monster to pop out at you somewhere, go to next dark room. Repeat.
And then the whole game: find card key, go to next level. Repeat.

You realize thats exactly what it was intended to be right? It wasn't intended to be new or innovative, it was just a graphically superior version of the original. I quite enjoyed it. That said, HL2 (excluding the ending) was also a great FPS.
