among other things, the interior feels really cheap for some reason (the dials and whatnot) on many (most) of the models. granted they're more reliable than they use to be but still lag quite a bit. thats cool if you all like them, but im not a fan. to each his own.

What's the most recent American car you been in? I'll agree that pretty much everything built in the US in the 80s was a shitheap that fell apart in a month, but we've come a long way. Civilizing European influences, Japanese manufacturing techniques, etc. I was pointing the finger at your generalization more than personal taste.
I love most European cars, but there are still plenty of fine examples of American automotive might that I enjoy.

for general cars, i like japanese. and the top flight european cars are obviously pretty badass.

the most recent american cars i've been in are a 2002 mercury something or other and a 2001 ford explorer i think. youre right though--perhaps i shouldnt have generalized, but its just that--a generalization. there are probably a few exceptions and i should have mentioned that.
