read the fountainhead, and was planning to read atlas shrugged after. fountainhead is definitely an interesting book, i don't know that i agree with her philosophy but it's has interesting concepts aside from being terribly written.SplishSplash wrote:Ayn Rand - The Fountainhead

read them both almost to the end. Now they're lying there next to my bed and I can't continue because I can't decide which one I want to finish first.
They're both really good books, though.
When I have some spare time, I'll read Gai-Jin by James Clavell. And Noble House after that.
My dad used to teach the Ayn Rand philosophy back in the 60's.... He gave me Atlas Shrugged and said it was his favorite book, but I cant commit to opening it because it's so FReaKiN' HuGe!!! I love to read but that's such a commintment....SplishSplash wrote:Ayn Rand - The Fountainhead

I think a lot of people do, but I didn't. I can't remember when I read it, but it was back around that time.dnoyc wrote:i read that back in school. i thought most people in the US read that for english classes.werldhed wrote:To Kill a Mockingbird is great. :icon14:ScooterG wrote:I frequently re-read my favorite southern American literature written by young women:
