Dishonored free on Steam this weekend
If you guys haven't noticed and haven't yet played this, it's a fantastic game, one of my favourites of the past two years.
Very much in the vein of Thief / Deus Ex with a heavy HL2 vibe. Lots of amazing touches and fantastic attention to detail as well as a pretty damn timeless aesthetic.
What are you waiting for?!
Go play!

Dled it earlier this week ( free on XBL too ). Haven't got round to it but the whole 'a better Thief than Thief' got my attention.

It's pretty good. I downloaded it ages ago but only started playing relatively recently. I'm in the third mission or so.
Getting a bit restless with the whole stealth thing though, so by now I'm pretty much stabbing every guard I come across. It works just as well.

I downloaded it on XBL and I'm getting a read disc error when I try to load it.

I've deleted my cache and the game and redownloaded, but I'm still getting the same error. WTF?
Anyways, the game looks fun and I'd like to try it...

Blink's pretty cool yeah, but there's also this "seeing" power which allows you to see enemies highlighted through walls and everything. There was something similar in Burial at Sea, but in Dishonored it's kind of annoying because you tend to use it all the time. Kind of the same thing as with Batman Arkham Asylum's detective mode.

Of course, if you're going for the achievement "Mostly Flesh and Steel", then you can only use blink and no other powers.
That's how I played my first time through and I think that kind of play-through is the one where you're going to experience most of what the game has to offer from a narrative and explorative point of view.
