This could be quite the shout...xer0s wrote:September 21 release...
Announcement today people. Lets see how little this has been changed this time; slightly bigger screen, new connector and some sort of finger print recognition on the home button. iOS6 also...Not too much to sing about
Re: iPhone 5
I'm almost done with apple. I installed mountain lion last night and there's literally some tiny incremental updates which they pass over as huge improvements and it's the same for the iOS updates. In fact the only thing keeping me in OSX is it's look, trackpad actions and CS6 works better than the windows version.
In five years time you'll all be kissing Samsung's ass and waiting for their latest washer/dryer keynotes.

Re: iPhone 5
Apple have been on a slippery slope for a while. I have never really liked much of what they do as they come across as elitist, know it all wankers who will only put out things that they think is suitable for you. A closed OS does have some advantages, but freedom of choice and innovation isn’t really one of them.
Innovation hasn’t been seen at Apple in any large scale for years. They seem to be about image and branding now rather than quality products. The Motorola Atrix had finger print tech last year, but Apple will sound this out as the greatest update in phone security there has ever been. The larger screen is in response to the Samsung Galaxy S3 and other phones with good size screens and hugely improved battery life. The whole sueing Samsung thing has done nothing other than lined their pockets and tarnished their reputation.
The issue I have is that I feel like I am locked in with having an iPhone due to their insistence on using iTunes (horrible bit of software) and my willingness to bow to them and buy music off there because it was easy to do so.
In spite of all of my bitching and moaning, I will end up with an iPhone 5 in the next few months I bet...

Re: iPhone 5
they done away with itunes actually, at least for authorizing mobile devices.
10.8 is a joke, just adds more clutter to an otherwise clean OS.
As for iPhones, I recognize the innovation they brought that many years ago but since I'm using android devices - talking about hardware mostly - I really can't get over the small screenspace an iPhone offers.
now, I have that GalaxyS3 and that might be a bit of overkill. But even using my Desire; when the onscreen keyboard was visible the remaining screenspace is more of that than an iPhone4 in fullscreen. it's terrible

Fapple.
That being said, a 7inch iPad I would purchase. I like my iPad"3", but a 7 would be a better portable solution.

Same pricing as 4S, 20% thinner/lighter, 4" screen (longer not wider), 2x faster A6 cpu, smaller connecter (with adapter for old), LTE and DC-HSDPA, slightly better battery life than 4S, two-tone design.
