I doubt you'll find cause to regret it. I'm also shocked at how good the battery life has been. Given the screen size and amount of syncing, background data activity, new app installation/configuration/new phone twiddling, and general usage, I'd expect it to be drained halfway through the day. But, it's down to about 50% by around 10PM-ish if I use it a lot, and I'm up and going by 6:30AM.

Really just an excellent phone.

Anyways, I got a Galaxy Note and it's absolutely awesome. The crap your hear about it being too big is only true if you have little faggoty bitch hands, apparently. I updated it to ICS as soon as I got it (no idea why it didn't come with it), and I have to say that the Super AMOLED display is stunning. Best looking display I've seen on a phone. Blows my old Evo out of the water.

I still use my tablet PC every day, but now the Note's making me look at the Thrive and start to wonder why...

Excellent, very accurate and extremely responsive. It's as good or better than the Jot Pro I got from ThinkGeek for my tablet. I was hoping that the Note stylus (S Pen or whatever they call it) would work on my Thrive, but it's not compatible with the Thrive's screen.
