Yeah, I read it.
That's a pretty awesome competition, but someone's going to solve it really quickly. Unlike in the book, Emu's are pretty simple to cheat with.

the atari game is easy (i already beat it), finding the easter egg maybe not as much. anyway, the second challenge won't be released until July.
Re: Ready Player One
Some info on this book and contest please. What is it about and why should it interest us?

Re: Ready Player One
It's a dystopian future Sci-Fi novel, where all the resources are scarce and a large chunk of mankind has retreated into a virtual reality universe called "The Oasis", the brainchild of one man who had an unhealthy obsession with the Eighties. Because of this, he ends up the wealthiest man in history, and when he dies, he leaves a competition behind to win his fortune. The competition involves solving Easter Eggs left behind in games, hence the author's competition.
It's a good book, if a tad predictable.

agreed. kind of like a less original Snowcrash with a ton of 80s trivia. i thought it was a fun read.

Interesting. Too swamped with the Game of Thrones books now though, although I probably won't have 5 books worth of GoT appetite in a go.
