Re: Great piece of BBC journalism
if only the BBC's shittiness was restricted to minor faux pas like this
Re: Great piece of BBC journalism
I still like their documentaries, so i will allow this.
Re: Great piece of BBC journalism
ok, sure - if they restricted themselves to being a kind of superior Discovery Channel, with some added comedy, they'd be a pretty good broadcaster, even if not HBO-levelTsakali wrote:I still like their documentaries, so i will allow this.
unfortunately, being funded by a license fee (i.e. a tax) means they have to try to please everyone all the time. result: massive amounts of stupid wank, and the money gets spread thin across all that wank
Re: Great piece of BBC journalism
as long as there's stephen fry and jeremy clarkson its all good.
Re: Great piece of BBC journalism
The real question is, are they split evenly across the board by some governing body? if so you're still probably in a way better position than we are since TV broadcasting here is basically entirely ad driven, so instead of a 85% rate of garbage (as might be the case with BBC), we're getting 98% easy.seremtan wrote:ok, sure - if they restricted themselves to being a kind of superior Discovery Channel, with some added comedy, they'd be a pretty good broadcaster, even if not HBO-levelTsakali wrote:I still like their documentaries, so i will allow this.
