Just noticed today that mpeg files don't have video. Everything was working fine yesterday, today it's just "broken". I reinstalled WMP, I even uninstalled and reapplied all the codecs. Nothing is working and I'm using the WM9 Codec pack, WM9 VCM Codec, AC3Filter 1.10b, a codec pack from FreeCodecs.com, and MPEG Decoder.
EDIT: And I think this all started with codecs. I'm having a strange problem where Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 won't let me import mpg/mpeg files. My friend however seems to be able to import them just fine and I tried out a bunch of codecs that he sent me. I uninstalled most of them since nothing was working.
Video problems
I start WMP11 with the mpeg video. It says "acquiring codec" then goes on to "codec acquired". The movie begins to play but a red "x" appears in the playlist and WMP treats it as a sound file. Just sound, no video.
EDIT: It's definitely a WMP problem. The video plays fine on Creative MediaSource Player.
