there was talk of a hardcap of 30gb a month but they've not done it, they've just stayed with 1gb a day for the time being. The 1mb service has a 3gb a month hardcap though, although its not being enforced until later in the year so NTL say. I'd imagine a hardcap for 2mb and 3mb will be along sometime this year.

here in dutcholand we are getting crap like 10mbit cable for 80 euros. dsl connections (4mbit) + free phoneline & no phonecosts for like 20 euro's

and the former government phonecompany is almost done with their adsl2 lines, starting off at 16mbit minimum

I pay €35/month for 8mbit/512kbit ADSL here. Most 2mbit is around €30, so there's not much difference.

And I get to phone for free too.

Fuck thats crap. Im in a uni house sharing a 1mbit connection between 4 people, last month we exceeded 80gig.

mine was straight away

but they did say it could take upto 24 hrs (which im guessing is that bullshit excuse just incase anything goes wrong)
