looking forward

hey all, I'm back after a long time gone. I needed a hobby again and this is what I loved doing. Never produced anything to speak of, but I'm hoping that changes this time round. I have one map that i've worked on and off for 3 years. going to finish it.

several years ago, I worked with a guy to get mod created that I could use in an educational setting. public schools don't like guns and blood, so, had all that taken out. Only problem was, couldn't get my school to buy quake 3. Since the source code has been released, i should be able to use that to get quake 3 working in my lab, right?

thanks

The source has been released, but the media files (assets) have not, they're still not available for free.

It is possible to get Q3 up and running by cobbling together freely available assets, however. Depending on the extent of your modification, you should be able to arrange something that functions correctly.
