Cell Factor.....Best fps game ever??

Un-fucking-believeable .5

All this footage is apparently realtime/in-game

Not even a trailer, a tech demo for AGEIA physics.

looks sick O_O
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Yah, I think if I see more about the game..... But if thats a taste of what multi looks like...I'm in. I would upgrade the day I buy it too. though my system is pretty solid ATM, a stick of ram might be a treat though...
Havent done that for a game since Q3...When I bought a new system and q3 on the same day. Just to play the game...and it was worth every penny.

That does look sweet. I wonder if everyone in the game has those powers, or if it's a Quad Damage type-deal?

Looks a bit gimmicky to me, the only really new trick is that gravity grenade thingie, but even that gets a bit old after you've seen it 5 or 6 times.

PhysX is the way forwards. Specialist hardware to lift gaming above being restricted from the confines of regular desktop applications.

Just like 3d cards made the first leap back in the mid 90s.

And physics makes sense. Most of the processing power for the newer games is going on physics processing anyway, and package physics systems like Havoc are all about squeezing the best looking effects while using the least CPU time possible. This should change that.

I'm surprised nvidia haven't started with the physics processor thing. I suspect they have some work underway.

And then it all gets integrated again.
Like CPUs and FPUs.

Doubtful. The requirements for gaming hardware is deviating greatly from that of a standard desktop computer. As the industry increases in scale, the shift into more specialist equipment is only going to get larger.

True, I'm more interested in the tech. Since UT2007 is getting this same technology and that game was practically UT2007 and HL ripped off... I'm thrilled \o/

My PC just told me it isn't looking forward to playing it though.
