that wasn't a real race. they started from something like 30 mph, where the insane torque difference had no effect as the teg was already up near its vtec rpm. show me one on a drag strip or on a closed course if you want to make a legit point

ohh-ohh!!! I have a ricer story!!! I'm so excited!

I was coming home from a ski trip up the road a bit. I was in our 2001 Toyota Highlander with 3 other people besides me. So we've just cleared a convoy of trucks on Interstate 77, we're now out in front with no one immediately in front of us. (speed limit is 70Mph btw)
We notice this guy in a little civic with a wing on it coming around the trucks behind us like he was Steve McQueen. (I immediately though 'ricer' and thought of TB’s last rice thread) I had never really had an experience with these sad fucks.

Anyway, my cruise control is set at 75 or so, and dude is now coming up on us. I can hear the little go kart engine raging. So Mike is like, 'look at this weaving idiot, lets fuck with him'
So I play with him for a little bit and change lanes as he does so he cannot get around me, we come up on a 5% incline and a 3rd truck lane appears and I decide to go ahead and let him go by, as I didn't want to play with 3 lanes, I figured that would be too much.

So as he starts to go by Mike says while chucking 'that dude was looking at us and laughing like he won something'

(keeping in mind that we're on a 5% incline)

Just then I hear my cruse control accelerate the engine to keep us at 75... In doing so, we passed the cheese mobile as though he was standing still, I thought maybe he had a radar detector or something and was slowing down. But as we passed I could hear is engine screaming to stay up.

I was quite amused really.

that is a pretty cool car, but the video is kinda meh.

he was camping in second gear waiting to nail it. not real impressive.
my shitbox vw will probably keep up with an m3 if you let me camp at 3000 rpm when its time to go.

NS has a point here. Lets see that ricer bitch race an M3 GTR. Point is, that car is barely an Acura anymore. I would love to see that piece beat an M3 GTR around a track, or in a drag race. Acura makes no sports cars that are even comparable to BMW's.

Oh yea, the NSX was awesome. But the Honda version of the NSX was the nice one. The Acura NSX was the Americanized slower NSX, which isn't worth mentioning.

The dude shifted twice in the short little time they were "racing" meaning he was more than likely in first gear. The guy driving the BMW either didnt shift at all or has an automatic. Not to mention the fact that the video is shot from the losing vehicle but still made it on the internet...

Don't get me wrong, cars like th4e NSX and the EVOVIII are fucking hot, and hell, I've seen a Jackson Racing CRX out-corner a 911 and a 308. However, that's not what the ricers are driving. They're driving 200hp "all motor Type-Rs" that are, let's face facts here, the car to have for tweens like TB. They're cheap, and you can get them to have a semblance of oomph with relatively little money. Adults drive real cars.
