Personally. I beleive you would have to be narrow minded to beleive that earth is the only inhabited planet in space.
Personally, I think you'd have to be stupid or terribly ignorant to think that beings that could travel scores of light years to visit our planet would forget to turn off the lights on the outside of their ships. Or even need to enter our atmosphere. Or waste all that energy to make the trip to cut the assholes out of cows and do a high speed pass over a trailer park.

Are there UFOs? Yeah. They are probably top secret government prototype planes. Are there flying saucers w/ aliens in inside visiting our planet? No. Is there other intelligent life in our galaxy that has the capability for space travel? Most likely, almost certainly.

I saw a show on ABC the other night where they were saying the government has had contact with extraterrestrials, with military and government witnesses. I was surprised to see it on ABC.

Anyway, I believe there is almost certainly life out there, but I'm still overly skeptical of people's stories about seeing them. Even pictures aren't really reliable for proof.

As long as there are flying things that I cannot identify, there will always be UFOs. Nah, I love the idea of aliens and flying saucers and such, but I just dont see it happening. The UFO freaks have done their conspiracy stories and claims of truth in by stepping overboard way too many times.

There's even a conspiracy story that there are aliens on the far side of the moon, the side we never see from Earth. An obvious hoax but kind of proves the volume of rubbish. Can't really trust videos or photos anymore for "proof" as with technology avaliable to us its easy to fake/forge etc.

There was an interesting theory i saw when I was about 14. The theory was the "aliens" we have seen and heard about are us, humans, from the future. Interesting theory.

I think that it’s possible that aliens exist but it’s very unlikely that they have visited earth, so in that sense I am skeptical. I have seen many odd objects in the sky, especially when camping outside of the city, but because I have no way to correctly identify something doesn’t mean it’s an actual flying saucer. There are more rational explanations as far as lights/objects in the sky, testimonials are only that and people tend to forget, imagine and exaggerate.

Just imagine the political and relegious chaos when they make themselves known.

I wonder will we greet them of blow them away on first contact?

My favourite abd related mp3 - Carpenters - Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft.mp3. The full version gives me goosebumps when I play it.

The first thing we should ask is "Hey, are you the guys who keep all the virgins for us?!"

riddla wrote:lol, someone should tell them the moon is rotating and those aliens would have to be full-time nomads :olo:
Yes, it does rotate, but its rotation almost exactly synchs with its motion around the earth, meaning we see the same half of the moon at all times.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon

The Moon is in synchronous rotation, meaning that it keeps the same face turned to the Earth at all times. This synchronous rotation is only true on average because the Moon's orbit has definite eccentricity. When the Moon is at its perigee, its rotation is slower than its orbital motion, and this allows us to see up to an extra eight degrees of longitude of its East (right) side. Conversely, when the Moon reaches its apogee, its rotation is faster than its orbital motion and reveals another eight degrees of longitude of its West (left) side. This is called longitudinal libration.

idiots, they live on Earth's second moon which is called Cruithne. It was discovered in 1986 and it takes a convoluted horseshoe path around our planet as it is tossed about by the Earth's and the Moon's gravity.

Thanks Fender. I knew it was something like that - it keeps the same face turned to the Earth at all times.

as bertrand russell once said, it's possible for a teapot to be orbiting mars, but the belief that one does does not have the same status as the belief that one does not
