I got a Panasonic PT-60LC14, rear projection, 60". I'm very happy with it, and I'm glad I stayed away from the newer technologies for the time being. The DLP is what I would have gone with, fuck plasma for now. LCDs are too expensive, and DLPs have better picture imo. Just too much coin atm.hate wrote:expensive..

No my friend, not anymore. This set has almost a 180 degree horizontal viewing angle, and at least 120 degrees vertically. Also, it's only about 18" deep. Came with a nice stand, and it has passable sound.hate wrote:now, rear projection makes me think of thos big ass boxed tv's that can't be viewed from anglesNightshade wrote:I got a Panasonic PT-60LC14, rear projection, 60". I'm seeing some reviews that are calling it HD ready, it's not. It's an HD set. I bought it because out of all the TVs that were lined up in the store, this one had the best picture for the size/money. Keep in mind of course that the displays most likely won't be using component video cables, so it won't look as good as it can. Again, DLP has a nicer picture, but I haven't seen a better size to cost ratio with this model's picture quality.
