took the missus to see it yesterday. bored the shit of out me, but she enjoyed it. said it tried to cover too much of the book at the cost of coherence.

thought the last one was much better personally.

Just saw it tonight. Good show and definitely a lot darker than the previous ones.

I fell asleep in the last one, which made her happy. Bast part abou the last one was some little kid having a fit and bursting out into tears every five fucking mins.

People say it's a kids story, and yet when I went to see it with my gf 95% of the audience were our age (18) or older.

Surprised me tbh.

[i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

I noticed the same thing. Three theatres in my area sold out and the one across town playing at 9:40 was packed with people who looked like they were anywhere from mid-twenties to mid-fifties. Oh and there wasn't a kid in sight.

Just got back from seeing it. Book 4 is my favorite book so far, but movie 4 sure isn't. Yeah, the book is huge and covers A LOT going in multiple directions, but it's very skillfully done. The movie seemed more like a lot of different scenes were shot/edited and then put end to end. Individual moments were really good, but the flow and pacing just sucked.

Nice being PG13 though.. kids are out of school now for Thanksgiving and they all seem to be at Zathura and W&G.

But keep in mind, they have to stuff a TON of plot into a 3 hour movie.. I see this happening with movies that are based on books quite a lot - even with the 2nd LOTR film. Some stuff must be skipped, and some must be crammed in.
huzzah, safe on two counts.

I actually saw Goblet in theatres over the weekend -- it was my first HP movie, and while the first act was pretty bad, the film picked up nicely and earned itself a "not bad" overall.
