Ahhh, the ones I've always used unlock once the drum stops spinning. That or you can manually end the cycle by turning the knob.

My cellphone once went trough 50% of a drying cycle, in a dryer.

I am so lucky the battery did not explode. (It was hot.)

Yeah maybe he could turn the knob all the way to the end of the cycle. But he probably smoked the funny and didn't even think of that.
