I've studied shitloads of roman history and came across something I thought was particularly interesting.
A lot of people know the story of Romulus and Remus.
They were cast off as babies. A female wolf who had given birth recently found them and cared for them. A farmer named Faustulus eventually found them and took them to his wife Acca Laurentia and they raised the twins. Romulus eventually went on to found the city or Rome.
But you got to wonder how plausible the whole thing is...i mean a wolf raising the twins sounds a bit shady. Where did this idea come from?
Well, Acca Laurentia was known to be the village whore and in Latin the word lupus means wolf. The feminine form, lupa, means whore. So Acca Laurentia was the "wolf"

??? how can a piano be so cheap, our grand is $27,000, and our upright is $9000. I think you mean 30kpete wrote:Ivory that come mostly from elephant that were used to do the cover of a piano keys are now ban in Canada for a few years.
A Canadian bought a piano in the states and they confiscated it because it has real ivory keys.
Something like a 3,000$ piano was confiscated from him.

I meant like folding over and over on itself that piece of paper.[xeno]Julios wrote:excuse me?pete wrote: It's the thing like for sword and fluffy pastry
Sword like the one samurai have.
To make one, the smith fold a piece of steal on itself like 16 times
heating in into fire and hammering it each time in between every fold.
To make fluffy pastries, the baker fold a piece of dough several times on itself spreading flour powder and sometimes butter in between each fold.
Hope that was clear enough, had to use the dic 7 times.
