you're talking about the history of Apple's DAP's, not the current line-up.

These tech specs weren't up earlier when i checked for battery life. not sure where you got yoru numbers psyche, but they're not correct:

video for both 30Gb and 60Gb is up to 3 hours. it looks like these numbers are derived from using h.264 @ 768kbps with 128kbps audio.
