MWAHAHAHAHA - that did it. Works perfect now. Weird.

wt.... now I can't start a single player game or a local multiplayer game!!!! It goes thru the loading screen, and as soon as the match starts, it quits and sends me back to the desktop. I pulled out the vogonhq .pk3 file, and it's still not working.

I just checked this out.... and it worked just fine.
/connect q3.vogonhq.com - it's crazy fast, but it loaded right up, no problem.

didn't make a difference. it still quits.

CRAP! why is this so difficult???? ok, got Game Ranger, tons of Q3 games pop up. Every game I tried to join, Q3 would start, get to Awaiting Gamestate and then shut down. every time I try, Q3 quits on me. anybody know of any apps that I can use to search for Internet games that work on a Mac? Somebody in the general discussion had recommended AllSeeingEye, but all I can find for that is a .exe download. Or if anyone has a fix for the in-game browser, I open to ideas....

is there a way to "debug" it? (I really have no idea what I'm talking about) but, a way to find the problem and fix it? now that know I can play online.... I'm really jonesin' for some Deathmatch!!!!

Well, I don't get it. I can get online and play just fine with Urban Terror and Unreal Tournament. Just not Q3, which is what I'd rather be playing!!!!

Is there a console command to get to the screen that lists all the Internet games?

well.... I ran it in a window and didn't see any alerts pop up on the desktop. It just quits. It has to be that preferences file, maybe it's corrupted. I can't seem to find it anywhere. I can access all the other menus and options, just not the Internet. I could maybe understand it doing it at work,...

ok, I pulled the old Quake stuff off my computer onto an external drive, installed the 1.32 point release, then copied over the pak0.pks from the installation disk. So all the application stuff should be new. I can get it to run a single player game now, but I still can't get on Multiplayer > Intern...

If I try to start a single player game now... just as the match starts, the game totally shuts down and sends me back to my desktop.
If I try to start a local multiplayer match, the same thing happens. Just as the match starts, it quits.

is there a way to try that with console commands? I only get a split second on the multiplayer menu screen now before it shuts down because it's set to "Internet".

I installed the 1.32 point release (which put Quake3 10.2 G4, Quake3 10.2 and Quake3 10.1 apps in my Quake folder) and it's still not working correctly.

And this happens when I try it at work and at home.
