Re: Are you into cooking?
I don't enjoy cooking unless it's my favourite comfort food or a dessert. I made this Mac n Cheese tonight though and it's awesome if I say so myself. Moist, creamy, very cheesy and a tasty crust! :D Standard roux with 500ml of semi skimmed milk, 20g butter, 20g flour, 250g cheddar, a large pinch of...

Re: Crème Brûlée - Anybody made these deserts?
Thanks guys! Whiskey, nope, the bananas aren't in the recipe. :) These are the quantities I used. 175g self raising flour. 175g of sugar. Light muscovado, golden caster, or light brown sugar. 175g butter. 3 large or 4 medium eggs. 4 tablespoons of golden syrup. (I think it could have done with a tab...

Re: Crème Brûlée - Anybody made these deserts?
I've never made Creme Brulee. However, I had a go at making a large Syrup Sponge Pudding a few days ago and it came out pretty good. https://s29.postimg.org/l7x065ktj/20161218_230527.jpg All my ingredients measured out. Self raising flour, baking powder, vanilla extract, eggs, butter, muscovado suga...

I'm playing Quake 1 in VR and using a bluetooth Xbox style controller I bought. It's pretty cool, if a little dizziness inducing.

Re: Gear VR
It looks really cool but I wonder what happens when you try to build a "real" game with it that's not restricted to a 5x5 meter area. The teleportation game is a real cheap way of getting around that and not a viable solution. I think most VR games will use traditional controls where the ...

Re: Gear VR
HTC Vive is the one to go for by many accounts, it has the better tech. This video is worth watching and he really thinks the Vive is superior to the Rift.

It's low res, not very sharp, didn't cost me much, but it's blowing my mind. I can only imagine how good the really expensive HTC Vive and Oculus Rift paired with a beast of a PC is going to be when released at the end of the month. Let me tell you, if you've not experienced virtual reality, and you...

Re: What is new in your little world?
Yeah, I'll be using it with a Galaxy S6. Only £53 brand new, so if it's not up to much, hardly any money lost. I just want to see how good the VR experience is, but I'm aware of things like the screendoor effect and low res on the Gear VR. Will be a nice taster for the Rift or whatever other competi...

Spectre 7/10
Decent enough, but underwhelming and predictable.
I'd not watched any Daniel Craig 007 movies, so Wednesday and yesterday I crammed in Casino, Quantum and Skyfall, and then went to see Spectre last night. I'm all Bonded out!
