I'm patched up to 1.4.2 - I think that's the latest for both Mac & PC. You're right though ref. the Windows version not needing the DVD after applying the patch, as my install on Win Vista runs fine without it.

Quake 4 No Disc
Folks,
What's the best way to get
Q4 running on a Mac without having to have the DVD in the drive throughout ? Should I create a disc iso & mount on the desktop, or is there a better way ?

Re: Quake 3 Arena and Leopard
Have answered my own query :p . Have installed ioquake3 UB and added the necessary .pk3 from my game CD. Works great. Also found a Mac version of the Painkeep mod (v2.8). A couple of years old, but still one of my favourites. Looking at the online servers though, there weren't any running. Shame. Ch...

Re: Quake 3 Arena and Leopard
Just reading through the responses to this thread & see that G-News says the UB build of Q3A works fine in Leopard - is this a universal binary version ? I've got Q3A Gold (with Team Arena), but it's not Uni Bin - will this still work ? If not where can I get a Universal version from - haven't s...

Re: Q4 Game Saves From Windows to Mac
I'll give it a go (was playing Q4 on Vista using a Parallels VM - worked ok until there was too much happening onscreen, then it ground to a crawl). Have since bought the Mac version, and the gfx & playability are great.
Good news about the prize DM - can I choose ?

Q4 Game Saves From Windows to Mac
Hi Folks, been a while since I last posted but finally found some time to get back into Quake 3 & 4. Question I have though is whether I can move my Q4 game saves file from a PC install to a Mac install ?

Arena Control Software
Hi Folks, I'm new to the forums, so apologies if this has been covered before (I did search tho'). I'm trying to sort my G4 PowerMac out to run a dedicated Q3 server on a LAN, and would like to use a progrma like Arena Control (or similar). However I've tried the software & it quits as soon as I...
