Doh, that's bad. Good thing you're still on warranty. The hardware sadly hasn't gotten more reliable with the switch to Intel...

Re: Making the jump to Mac...

Had to replace my mid 2010 15" MBP due to the second mainboard failure in two years. Now on a late 2014 15 rMBP, very nice upgrade. Runs Q3, too;) Should try running it at 2800x1800, really.

Re: Mail Clients that don't suck ass

What's wrong with the indexed search in Apple Mail? It's lightning fast and certainly beats the ridiculous old Outlooks full text search that takes about ten hours to wade through one year worth of mail.

I've also had the altivec version crash repeatedly on an Intel MBP. Try the non altivec version

There's a Churasco Steak House on one of the main streets in Antwerp, try that:)
I know what you mean when you say they have broad shoulders... We had a dutch trainer(ess) back when I played waterpolo. She could have wrestled a hippo, in water.
She favored girls, too.

Works fine. The UB build anyway, the old G4 build is somewhat dodgier, but that may be due to Rosetta.

Re: Computer Software you might not use but probably should

OK, Real might be an issue on windows. On OS X, the Real Player isn't that bad at all, it doesn't get in your way and doesn't fuck up the system, so it's a non-issue to have it installed. Still, for everything else but Real, VLC is the way to go.

If VLC doesn't play a movie or sound file, it probably isn't a movie or a sound file. Seriously, so many people I know still use Windows Media Player and have never ending problems wi...
