I don't know why people buy water kits (with the exception of the new Swiftech one with Storm/MCP655 setup). Pick your parts out or don't bother at all. Otherwise you end up with mediocre results for a lot of cash. Doesn't matter what you buy from who, there will always be the risk of a defective p...

Rofle. The water block is properly mounted, and I've mounted thermo sensors like this one on systems past. It died during the initial burn in, so I'm not surprised. It's also possible some coolant got into the unit circuity. Replacing the sensor will tell me right away if it's the control unit or th...

The Achilles Heel
So finally all my parts arrive to complete my new system. Just in time for the weekend too, it couldn't be better. Until yesterday I had everything but the power supply, video card and cooling system, so I had test mounted the motherboard already. Anyways, last night I test fit the cooling unit into...

sent Replied. Might be the burner (DVD) and the video card. Those would be my guess. It was the video card that set it apart from the model below it. I'm really curious how yours would compare in a 3dmark test. :D Run the default test at native resolutin and see what it comes up with. Lets see if y...

Every few months I have to get out a coat hanger and get inside to gently push it (the caked on layers of ash) off into the water to be dumped out. one of these days you'll discover the wonders of rubbing alcohol and salt lol. I'm already aware of it, but this is faster and less messy (oddly). The ...

I doubt it. I got it at wholesale from one of my distributors with an extra %10 off because it was for internal use. The retail on it was over $2000 with 512MB of RAM. I got the notebook, extra life battery plus an extra 512 stick of memory for all under 2k. Lets also compare apples to apples here, ...

I've conneted to a few peoples access points before. Never used their internet connection, just browsed their PCs and such :ninja:. The guy who's was the easiest to connect to had Linux and such on his shared folder, heh. Yeah.. not to hear a linux monkey say it, but a linux install is only as good...

I did that already a long time ago. I noticed a woman with her Win98 box shared off (C drive shared with full permissions) over her wireless. I felt bad for her so I added her printer and printed off a nice little tutorial I wrote up on how to lock down your firewall with WEP security. I took my wif...
