Some good blunt, honest crits there. I'd like to point out the texture thing is something I quickly (read: lazily) put together in Q4 to see how it looked and to see if I could get the lighting to match up nicely... or at all at this point. But I suppose O'dium and Tod are both right, it really was ...

Q3 VS Q4 I just ported an old q3 map into q4, tried to add some lighting, fixed some textures, etc. The q4 map probably looks ridiculous in comparison, and needs better lighting to fit the right theme/mood that the q3 map had, but what do you think? Gtk Question(s)
First, a quick one: I was wondering if I can have a light dynamically move around a q3 map? Say, up and down or left and right against a wall, to follow some moving brush? --- This second one might not be so quick. I was hoping to try Q4 mapping. I downloaded GtkRadiant-1.5.0-2007-04-26.msi and whic...

Just finished playing the map. Thanks for making it! I enjoyed it very much. Is this a beta or release? I do hope it's a beta. I liked the playability of the map, it is very easy to get from a to b. It is also very small, I had a hard time imagining more than 4 players in this map, but realistically...

I downloaded Warsow and watched a video clip of the game, why does it look cell shaded/wierd? The floater i tested? Yeah that one, I'm surprised you remember that map. It looks cool in Q4 but I can't get gtK 1.5 to work on XP windows and the Q4editor is not flexible or fast enough for me to manipula...

I would advise getting back into some PC gaming then making the choice after that... I really liked Fable for X-Box, but don't think mapping is going to be a likely one for Fable 2. Any recommendations for something Quakey? Or at least that has a pretty good map community base like Q3 used to? Or i...

Q3 of course. :X Well yeah, I may just do that. I have this unfinished map that I left a long time ago that is pretty and pink. Either that or port it to Q4. So what game is a good idea to map for? I think it's a good idea to map for the games you like and play yourself. Yeah, that too. However, I ...

Hi guys, Thanks for the replies! So what game is a good idea to map for? I've only been looking at Q4 and since there is a consensus that the game is dead I'm thinking there might be someplace else with more activity. Tools like Gtk seem alittle outdated, now I probably need to learn how to do UV ma...

Nice feel to the map! It looks like some place in europe, maybe london on a foggy night where jack the ripper could be lurkin' around any corner... :) I also like the last pic with the building, it looks better than the ones you did in the q3 map version. Any chance you could make them the same? :ic...
