What's in a name?

It looks fuckin cool, with some cool features. I'd probably buy one if you could pry this iPhone out of my hand. I'm ready for 5...

I had the S2 for year. Not a big fan of Android anymore, might be looking into a Windows phone next once they release flexible screen models.

S3 is probably the most powerful phone you can get right now. Not sure what you'd need the quad core CPU for though. Certainly not for opening facebook and playing words with friends.

exactly what you'd expect from someone with less cores :clownboat:

seriously though, augmented reality on the screen for instance can def. use 4 cores.

But then I guess you would also need superior gyro, camera, and other sensor equipment.

lol, do yourself a favour and stick with the S2. Anything else is a downgrade, especially Winmo and its godawful OS.

Looks to be a badass phone, it's what I'll be getting in a week or so if I decide to not get the Galaxy Note. I highly doubt I will do that, however.

when I first looked at the Note i was like, :offended: but the I was like

Something about it laughs at both smartphones and tablets, but it really is one of those things that go over the line. single hand operation is almost out of the question and keeping it in my pocket is something I don't think I want to deal with.
So no matter how awesome I think it is, it kinda shot itself in the foot :(

I've been impressed with it the couple of times I've handled it whilst waiting for my stupid Sprint contract to expire. I can't find anything about it I don't like so far.

I did read one review for the Otterbox Commuter case for the Note wherein the reviewer said that keeping it in a pants pocket wasn't a problem. I thought "How fucking big are your pants?"

That was the Galaxy Nexus recently.

Both these companies need to get off each other's cocks, stop lining their lawyers wallets and focus more on R&D and exploiting cheap overseas labour.

Missus picked her S3 up when it came out a few weeks ago. The camera on it is so ludicrously good we spent a while marveling at the level of detail in pictures - she took a picture of my cat for instance, and we were able to zoom in on the refection in the eye and see a tiny picture of me, some real CSI shit right there.

Want, but not desperately want. It's just like my phone only it does everything better... and the way Samsung has been churning out new models i'm pretty sure the S4 will be out by the time my contract is up.

Regarding the Note, a friend of mine has this and everytime he whips that badboy out of his pocket to send a message or make a call i find myself laughing at him. It's just too big and too silly looking for some reason, though it might actually be useful rather than ridiculous if you use it more as a tablet and not as a smartphone.

In a year from now probably. The S2 was released just about a year before the S3 and the Galaxy S a year before that.

Precisely, it's a phablet. The main reasons I want it are the smartpen thingy and overall size, as I'm prone to sketching and doodling when I'm thinking or explaining something. I use AutoCad Sketchbook Mobile on my Thrive and Evo, and I have Sketchbook Designer on my PC and laptop. I just got a Wacom Bamboo pad not long ago and I'm trying to draw more. The Note will definitely help me do this, plus I hear it also has a "phone" app which will actually let you hear another person's voice (and they can hear yours!) if you enter a special number code for that person. I have my doubts this will catch on.

Got one today. Seems pretty good so far. Still tinkering with stuff, so I haven't gotten too far into it yet.
