That doesn't cost avg. $350 a night. Fucking ridiculous.

Trying to stay close to the Loop or City Center... No more than 10 miles at least. Transit is good but takes a long time to get around.

Ideas?

Wherever you stay, take a photo and let me know where it is...maybe I'll put it in my game.

Of course for accuracy's sake I'll ensure the area is littered with used condoms, crack pipes and dirty needles so that you can reminisce about your stay.

Are you, an employee of Watch Dogs, insinuating that Chicago is a filthy cesspool of a city?

Aye thats still like over 200 bucks for those who use a real currency ?, can get in half decent hotels in the middle of London for almost half that on a weekend, B&Bs being even cheaper, im guessing Chicago would be like our equivilent of a Manchester or someshit (obv not in size but in the fact that its a run down shithole ?)...

know any late deal sites ?, maybe its becauase youre trying to book so far in advance ?

LOL, 3rd largest city in the US....

My best suggestion is to get a rental car and stay in the suburbs (Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove).

There's your problem. I'm afraid you won't find any cheap hotels in Chicago in the middle of summer, especially if you want one close to the loop/city center.

Incidentally, I stayed at the Palmer House Hilton on Monroe Street two weeks ago for $205/night with my company's special rate code. It was OK. I would have preferred Marriott but most were sold out. JW Marriott on Adam Street did have rooms but was $245/night, which was a bit too high so couldn't stay there. There were also some SPG hotels where I could have stayed, but their locations were not too convenient.

If you plan to rent a car, just stay in the burbs and take the train into the city (parking in the city is a nightmare and horribly expensive anyway), and taxi rides within the city generally don't cost more than $10. I normally stay at a full-service Marriott for $114/night out there in the burbs and take the Metra into the city whenever I need to.

Isn't the Majestic the all white elitist hotel in Bots?

Yes, Tokyo is expensive. Pretend and imagine paying 2 or 3x for everything and you will be less disappointed with life. Expect it to be like visiting the UK from the States. Or, find a friend to stay with. Bring a gift when you visit a japanese household.
