So after 2 blown graphics cards and one now overheating like a fatty in a florida traffic jam, one dead hard disk (my goddam fucking backup drive of all things), one dying hard disk (with all games on), a blown power supply and umpteen Vista reinstalls i'm finally fed up enough to chuck this bugger in the bin and just get a new one. There's little to no upgradability with this setup anyhoo, it's a bloody BTX case for a start.

Nothing fancy, i'm thinking an i5,3.3 with 8gig and a 560Ti. No interest in SLI/crossfire SSD etc..
Any UKers know any half decent resellers that will pre-build? I really can't be arsed myself.
So far i've found this place - a mate got one from them and was satisfied. Figure i'd ask the pros though first before my dumb ass goes and buys any old guff in my haste to have a usable system. Is there any particular board/brand/PSU output I should go for? That place i mentioned seems to think i'll need i'll need 750W for a single GPU...

Hit me :)

have never had any problems with aria.co.uk - but in case they've gone downhill, should say that i haven't bought a new machine for nearly 2 years.

that PSU thing is probably true, even if you don't need that much in regular usage - a crappily written game (e.g. dead island) will batter your system.

Can you buy a computer from that company without Swiss cheese and disco lighting?

Get a PSU from a decent manufacturer, but don't just look at wattage ratings, they mean little more than a ballpark figure and many companies claim much higher figures than what they can actually pump out. The recommended wattages from Intel/nVidia/AMD usually come with a huge buffer for safety. My space heater of a computer is running off of a Corsair 620W. TL;DR, I'd rather get a 600W PSU from a well known manufacturer than a 800W no name brand.

Went for a Corsair TX650  80+ rating, single 12v rail and whatnot. Not modular, but had to trim fat where i could (so no, no spangly lights and disco pixies in the box). Looks pretty neat in the case though and 5yr warranty is nice.

I've been using the same PSU for over two years now, it's solid
