Test Drive Unlimited (360)

Post by Giraffe }{unter »

Wow, after reading yesterdays news post and watching the movie posted, I just had to have this game.

http://www.leetforum.com/forumz/showthread.php?t=136563

It's like the "Oblivion" of Racing games. Tons of quests and side races, houses to buy, cars to own, and plenty of space to just cruise around...

Videos > http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId= ... sec=VIDEOS

Once you finish the tutorial, and buy your house you pull out of the garage into "Free Ride" mode. This is where you cruise the exact replica of the Hawaiian Island Oahu with 1000+ miles of road to speed down. The best part is while you are driving to your next race, or to the car dealer, you are online with a bunch of other joy riders. So just pull up to some other Xbox Live stranger and beep your horn, or flash your highbeams and start up a friendly race. if you want it more professional, you can challenge them to a race with a finish line you set once they accept.

It's pretty awesome how they added the instant online and mixed it into the single player game. I found myself zipping around and getting into mischief with other racers, then getting back on track and winning some races.

For $39.99 you can't go wrong with this game

how is the voice comm handled btw? since you are always online it would suck to have 27 other players screaming in your ear.
racespecific? or location based perhaps?

ack and i see it has the infamous NFS like physics. colliding with a pixel of your fender will cause a full halt, even when hitting a plant. grr thats so frustrating

You only hear people withn a few hundred yards of your location.

Not sure about the collision issues though, havn't done any "clean" races yet.

Ofcourse you did.
I've only got 63 cars, won most sp speed, time, race races and some mp, discovered about 50000 squaremiles, bought 7 motorcycles, earned 23.000.000 $, bought over 20 different clothes, 5 different motorcycle outfits, stage 3 tuned about 25 cars, bought 16 houses, drove 20 supermodels, picked up 10 hitchhikers, delivered 5 packages, and delivered around 20 different cars... and im only at 68% progress... and thats after roughly 100 hours played.

Wow... you must have stod a loooooooooong time at best buy eeh?

Faggot housewife.

Not even close to your high-speed adventures, grocery shopping in the mini-van for the kiddies?

reef, you just bragged about how much progress you made in test drive to stick it to freak because he said he finished the game at best buy. I was simply stating a fact - he, and most of us, probably had sex at some point during the time you were doing that.

But you did manage to uncover 500000 square miles of virtual hawaii, so good job with that.

And believe it or not, between teaching and writing, I'm not that low paid.
