Topic Starter	Topic: In Quake III Arena- Are These Devices called "Prox Mines"? ?
uzi9mmauto Trainee Joined: 21 Nov 2010 Posts: 35	Posted: 12-01-2010 09:15 PM                  Im asking about devices I see in Quake III Arena (Multiplayer) that "Float" and look like "Rockets"? Sometimes they Explode or Shoot at You. They tend to "shake" a little bit. I have looked on may articles and under "quake III arena devices" and Have NOT found out what they actually are. The closest I EVER Came was something called "Prox Mines" but in TEAM ARENA and do not look too much alike. HELP!! Once You Can tell me what these are. 1) Name? 2) How do "activate" them? (They are NOT in my Weapons) 3) Photos + Links Please. I REALLY HATE these things- as Idiots place them at Respawn Spots- leaving Players Fragged until game Limit is Reached! MORONS!! ** I have been playing Quake 1 and Quake II since they came out. Then about 45-60 Days I ago I gave Quake III Arena a chance and havent Left! VolumetricSteve Insane Quaker Joined: 05 Nov 2010 Posts: 375	Posted: 12-01-2010 09:26 PM                  It'd help if you could supply some screenshots, but it sounds like it's either a mod or...someone's doing something they shouldn't. Do you have punkbuster enabled? Next time you're in multiplayer...try recording a demo, then if you've captured one of these things, save the demo, play it back to yourself later and take screenshots of the things...I imagine this is far easier than hammering the screenshot key when you're jumping around in multiplayer.
