how do these pricks stay in business?

right now, i'm looking at the worst mish-mash of stuff copied without due reference from hotscripts.com i've ever seen. cunts.

fuck it, no time for a proper rant now. supposed to be writing a list of recommendations for their client. at this point the list of urgent requirements includes a fire axe, 12 square metres of old carpet and some rope.

they do have fantastic business cards, i'll give them that.

one more fuck-up and i'll grace this thread with their home addresses.

just started taking a proper look at the data now the store's fixed (replaced) and there's 1 error for every 9 entries. there are temp agencies that wouldn't hire you to push trollies around a supermarket car park with a hit rate like that.

I was asked by my mom's boss to help with his company website.

So I go in to meet him and the dude doesn't want me to change anything. He then proceeds to tell me he has been taking a web design class and acts like this makes him the professional. He continues on, essentially offering to pay me by hour to be a webmaster. By this point I'm looking from my designer clothes to my watch which is telling me I'm awake way too fucking early to be wasting my god damn time. I fed him some bullshit to save face and ran like hell.

At work, we're dealing with this guy who is insisting that we (OSU's online course building team) don't know what we're doing with our extended (online) courses provided with blackboard/webCT, and so he asks for $50,000 to start building two courses for 2006... he wants to do them because we aren't fitting his creative vision for his classes... 1. Online Guitar classes, 2. Online welding classes.

The best part isn't even that he'd be asking hundreds of people right in front of their computers to light their acetylene torches- it's that his course pages look like geocities websites, changing font colours every sentance, default size 14 font, black background, random animations, I expected him to type before every announcement "Mood: Dark

is Blackboard as shit on the backend as it is on the frontend?

SHU put up a new student portal based off blackboard this semester, and it's an improvement over the old blackboard implementation, but overall blackboard still feels hackish and shitty to use.
