How to make own skins?

Post by CZghost »

I want to make own skins to Quake3 models, just as new bot files for them. But don't know, what editor I should use for new skin to make... Could I use text editor or some specialised editor for editing model skins? If text editor, is required custom editor or I can use windows notepad? Please, tell me... I know, how to make textures depending on the UV mapping, but the texture applying in the model by skin file is a problem...

CZ, I admire your enthusiasm. Can't help thinking, based on the Maverick comp, your EP post, and now this. Maybe settle on one thing to finish? You seem a bright kid so far as I can make out. Just a thought. There is plenty of time. Finish one thing.

I'm going to start mapping the EP mission. Now I have created working skin of TankJr - Green model... This skin is currently in use for my settings...
