I thought about an RV or possibly towing a camper but by the time you add it all up it didn't seems like there would be any cost benefit compared to just traveling light and staying in hotels. Plus camping with young kids sucks and so does driving huge vehicles through mountain passes. Maybe next time.

Holy shit that's huge. Looks like a class A from the back. Let me know how something that big is for driving through Rocky Mountain National Park.

This is a road in Glacier National Park I've driven on before, one of the reasons I didn't want to do an RV.

RMNP is the easy part...driving on 550 from telluride to durango is a little harder...but i'm advanced and the jayco is a diesel so im sure it will fine...

Car broker is getting back to me in a day or so but I just got an email from a dealer with a rather good deal or so it seems. I replied asking the blunt question, is it a 2017 make? Seems dealers are offloading 2016 stock still...

Re: What is new in your little world?

Did I tell you my smart TV had a little problem? It lost its Wi-Fi ability :smirk: 3 weeks ago. No biggie but it is handy sometimes and should be fixed and working...

Long/short, it's now been in the repair shop 2 weeks so I called today to ask what's going on. Staff said they replaced the obvious circuit board (common fault apparently) and it worked but then the TV defaulted to another country and they couldn't make it an Aussie one :paranoid: so they ordered a new main MB but it has again lost Wi-Fi ability.

Long/short, I might score a new TV :)

Cross fingers for me...

FYI, I have had this 60inch 3D TV (2 year warranty) mounted on the wall 3+ years and luckily for me SAMSUNG will honour a warranty even after it has finished. Something about Australian consumer law so I am a winner (maybe). Waits.... ......

EDIT:

Not at all sir...

It was the most expensive TV for the size at the time($3500 AUD ) came with lots of extras and even 3D glasses. I shopped around and score a great deal.. The store I bought from had a 'price match guarantee' too... Find it cheaper in 30 days and we will refund double the difference. Quite amazing for the day. Guess what, a competitor had a sale within weeks and I took the advertisement and my receipt of 40 odd days old to the store I purchased mine from and I got a windfall, something like $600 back :D :D

those parks are built and meant for rv's.
