Why do I always go out till the wee hours of the morning Saturday night when I know I'm working sunday morning? So now I'm tired, I have really bad gas and I feel like shit. Will I do it next week? Probably. :icon32:

What did you guys do over the weekend?

House party's are awsome... I was at one last night and the poor chick that had it got more people than she expected. Pretty much the whole bar left and went to her house, she was only expecting a dozen people or so :)

Ahhh the old classic suicide porche, nice. :)

I hear the old porche 911 had a power issue at a certain gear where the turbo kicks in, that if you're not careful you can easily throw the car off the road if driving agressively which earned it's reputation as a dangerous car. Am I making sense or is what I say completely off? :)

its the combination of rear engine + low weight + narrow wheel base that made the old 911's a "handful"
oversteer isn't a handling characteristic in those cars, its a way of life.

I will keep that in mind *lol* I have noticed when driving the car that you don't want to let off the gas in a curve the back end wants to come around unless you keep steady power.

The car has been in the shop all winter *new interior, body, paint and mechanical* I have driven the car about ten times since I bought it that is going to change. It has one more trip to the body shop this week to get some touch up work then that car is going to become a daily driver *smile*

*pesky edits* (misspelling)

I paid 6 for the car. Here is a link to my homepage if you go to the beginning of the photo section you can see how it looked when I bought it. The link I am posting is just to the section after I got it back from the body shop

yeah, slow-in, fast out. :icon14:
letting off the throttle mid corner is a fantastic way to get a good look at the car behind you. ;)
those cars are a hoot though, a real driver's car. and the engine screaming at you from the back is a great sound.
i've only had the pleasure of driving one... it was a 76, but very fun indeed.
my mid-life crisis porshe would have to be the 5L 928 though, i've been in love with the look of that car since i was a kid and saw risky business.

edit: just looked at the pics... nice car :icon14:
love the whale tale :icon26:

Ah, childhood. What a great period in one's life, having all the time in the world and no responsibilities.

I know... our shifts changed at the beginning of the year and on Sunday's I used to start work at 12:30 but they changed it to 10:30 now. So I almost ALWAYS go out on Saturday and I promised myself in January that I would go home early on Saturday's to get some sleep for the next day.'

So far... I've never even come close to getting more than 2 hours sleep before my shift, been late 3 times and missed an entire day once because I was WAY too tired. Today I'm hurting for certain though. :(

I didn't even get laid either

I was at this mad party after the bar with a LOT, and I mean a LOT of really hot women and I was like damn this place is happenin (High as a kite on E of course) and then the chick that owned the house didn't expect all these people to show up to her house and she kicked most everybody out of the apartment. I was invited to stay mind you but the fucking shitty ass part was that she kicked out all the fucking chicks!!!!

Kracus wasn't impressed... Good thing the chick that owned the house was smoking hot.

Per usual, I had a party at my place Friday and Saturday. Friday we played a few games of Hold'Em and last night we all got shitfaced and stayed up until 6am.

I also found out that the group of girls who always come are planning to have a threesome with my gf. They said I can watch so I'm definitely going to have the camcorder prepped and in stealth mode.

:smirk: I was hoping to get a girl last night in a game of strip poker but events never panned out for me.

I did play some holdem fri and sat though, friday my buddy had a little girl so we had a diaper party for him.

Diaper Party for those not in the know is what you do for a buddy who just had a kid. So a bunch of guys get together, all buy diapers for the poor sap and some beer, get drunk, play cards and darts :D

Anyway we played 6 games of holdem and I won 2. Then the next day I went to this local tournament with about 50 players and got beat on my third hand :( teh suck

I still haven't gone to a big tournament. I'm pretty good and I think I would be even better playing people I don't even know.

Friday night I got wasted at a buddy's house and then got stoned. That was quite peculiar experience.

Saturday was spent hung over.

There's a lot to it. I'm a pretty good player, I often do well in local tournaments and among friends I'm always a threat. But all in all I'd say it's 70% luck 30% skill.

I remember those days, from about 20 until I was 26...then I stopped abruptly.

I can't remember how many times I was puking up bile the next morning telling myself..."never, ever, ever again." Without fail, either that next night, or within the week, I was out again, drinking Jaeger after Jaeger....uggghhh..

I've been away from it so long I don't miss it...and I hate the idea of wasting a day or more recuperating.

I noticed that after 25, hangovers seemed to last longer. I used to be able to drink myself stupid, then make it to the gym the next day, so long as I kept myself hydrated the night before. If I do that now, I am out of commission for a minimum of 2 days...

I am assuming you are talking pool?

I'd say not quite 70% luck. And the skill breaks down to a lot more than most people realize, as you probably know. I played a lot of people who had great technique, etc., but absolutely zero strategy.

I played from the time I could see over the table at our house. WOuld go in streaks where I would play every day for months on end, then stop for a couple months. I won a couple local nine ball tournies, but nothing big.
